Can blast calves twice a week and all they do is get sore and won't grow much. Is this genetic do you think?

Double your reps, work them as much or more than you do your Bi-ceps

I've read many stories about guys who can't get their calves to grow. I think it may be genetic. I rarely lift my calves and they can't grow fast enough.

probably is genetic.

try doing very high weight at low reps mixed with some roids.

if they dont grow, you are a woman.

A lot of people have this problem, my calves are very average for as much fitness I have done over the years, use to be bigger when I played soccer all the time, now they suck...I said to hell with it years ago with my calves, just give them exercise with leg presses and thats it...

Just curious WHAT EXERCISES ARE YOU DOING FOR CALVES?

Saw this on MTV. Nevermind the thousands of dollars it cost for those, but the pain and suffering alone would make it a pass also. Crazy!

Right now I'm doing a few machines. There is a machine with padded bars sticking out and you kind of crouch down underneath them so the things are resting on your shoulders and you stand up straight and roll the balls of your feet up and then back down and repeat.

Then the other one is where you sit down and these pads rest on your knees kind or on top of the leg and you just again roll the balls of your feet up and then down and repeat.

Some guy was telling me to put some weights on the squat rack and instead of squatting just do the same thing, kind of roll your feet with your toes and push up.

Another recommendation was to load up a bar and have it rest by your knees kind of like when doing shoulder shrugs with a loaded bar. Then pick it up and do the same rolling of feet technique.

Leg press machine works too.letting just the top of the foot rest on the part you press, you get a real good stretch.

yes, mostly genetic. look into syntherol injections if it's important to you.
